1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using PillWheel ("the App," "we," "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms apply to all users, including free and Pro subscribers.

2. Description of Service

PillWheel is a mobile application that provides:

• A digital medication cabinet for organizing medication records
• A visual pill wheel for dose tracking and scheduling
• Customizable medication reminders and push notifications
• Refill tracking and low-supply alerts
• A bottle label scanner to assist with manual data entry
• A prescription document archive for personal reference
• Provider and pharmacy contact management
• Educational medication information from public databases

PillWheel is a personal organization tool only. It is not a medical device, health information system, electronic health record, or clinical decision support tool.

3. Medical Disclaimer

PillWheel does not provide medical advice, diagnose medical conditions, recommend treatment plans, interpret prescriptions, or determine appropriate dosages. All medication information in the app is entered or reviewed by you.

You must always:

• Follow the instructions on your original prescription label
• Consult your pharmacist or healthcare provider before making any changes to your medication routine
• Verify all medication details — especially those captured via OCR scanning — against your physical prescription or medication label
• Call 911 or local emergency services in a medical emergency rather than relying on this app

4. Account Registration

To use most features of PillWheel, you must create a free account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information when registering
• Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.

5. Free and Pro Plans

PillWheel offers a free tier and a Pro subscription tier:

• Free plan — up to 3 medications and 2 label scans
• Pro plan — unlimited medications and scans, plus additional features

Pro subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. Subscription renewals, cancellations, and refunds are governed by Apple's standard subscription policies. You may cancel at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use PillWheel only for lawful personal purposes. You may not:

• Use the app for any commercial, institutional, or clinical purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the app
• Use the app to store or transmit data on behalf of others without their consent
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data
• Use the app in a way that could harm others or yourself
• Use automated tools to access or scrape the app or its services

7. Scan Features and OCR Accuracy

The bottle label scanner and prescription archive features use optical character recognition (OCR) technology to extract text from images. OCR is imperfect and can produce errors, omissions, or misreadings — particularly for handwritten text, small fonts, or partially obscured labels.

You expressly acknowledge and agree that:

• Scanned information may be incomplete, incorrect, or missing entirely
• You must manually verify every extracted field against your physical label or document before saving
• You take full responsibility for any information saved to your account following a scan
• PillWheel is not liable for any harm resulting from reliance on OCR-extracted information

8. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you enter into PillWheel, including medication records, prescription images, notes, and provider information. By using PillWheel you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process this content solely to provide the service to you.

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter. Do not enter information on behalf of others without their consent.

9. Data Deletion

You may delete your health data or your entire account at any time from the Settings screen in the app. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed. All associated data is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days of your request.

10. Intellectual Property

The PillWheel name, logo, app design, code, and all associated intellectual property are owned by Lintio Limited and protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not use our brand assets without written permission.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

PillWheel is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that medication reminders will always fire at the configured time.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PillWheel and its developers shall not be liable for:

• Any harm, injury, or medical outcome arising from use or reliance on information in the app
• Missed doses resulting from missed, delayed, or failed notifications
• Errors in OCR-extracted medication information
• Loss of data due to technical failure
• Any indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for a Pro subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of PillWheel at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app and update the effective date above. Your continued use of PillWheel after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction, as required by law.
